A French cruet that I couldn't resist. The spoon is another one that I'm not sure is original to the piece but they are generally missing so marriages are inevitable and not a distraction.
This Carlton Ware cruet set was a birthday present in November 2019 and I love it. Much nicer than some of the plain characterless pieces you can find, and dates to the 1930's, so has some age and a great design. I presume it has spent its time in someone's china cabinet and never been used in anger.
These are made by Midwinter. I got them from Bridlington in December 2019 at the Christmas Dickensian Festival day and they were with a matching sandwich plate that I didn't buy. I'm still not sure how much I actually like them but at the time I had to make a decision because we were not stopping for much longer and would not be returning.
These cruets are part of a bigger set, all green and based on crocodiles. I also have egg cups from this series. I know that you can find the teapot, cream jug and sugar bowl, possibly other pieces but not sure that I actually want the other pieces at this time. Perhaps if I actually find them on offer that will change?
Bristol blue type glass and pewter cruet set. not sure if the spoon is original to the set but it seems OK. An Ebay find in December 2019.
